Doris has lived in the Cochrane area since the 1980's and is proud to be one of the founders of the Cochrane Humane Society. She chaired the inaugural board while also fostering many stray cats and dogs. She adopted some of the less-adoptable and has always felt strongly that we as a species are responsible for our four-legged companions. Doris operated a local dog boarding facility for 4 years prior to the start of Country Paws Dog Daycare in 2004.
We opened our doors in November 2004 and were the first of our kind in Cochrane! What at first seemed a novelty soon became a necessity for many residents who had to leave their furry friends at home for several hours while they were away.
When the dogs arrive at the daycare, we divide them into appropriate age and activity play groups to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. We leave them in play mode for the duration of their stay, making sure they go home tired!
We provide grooming services for all breeds (even cats!) and can accommodate something as simple as a nail trim to a full grooming package.
Pet Life is located adjacent to Country Paws Dog Daycare and carries a selection of high quality Canadian-made cat and dog foods, including a large variety of raw pet food products. All of the foods we carry are free of corn, soy, wheat, gluten and by-products. The store also carries a large selection of healthy treats, supplements, fun toys and Canadian-made collars, leashes and harnesses, and much more!
Pet Life can accommodate drop-in nail trims for dogs any time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 pm Monday to Saturday, as well as provide fitting services for harnesses and seasonal items such as boots, coats and backpacks.
Doris has owned Pet Life since 2004 with the goal of providing customers with healthy options for their canine and feline family members, with choices for every budget. The Staff of Pet Life pride themselves on their knowledge, experience with nutrition, and the integrity with which they advise and help customers.
